The Allegan Ministerium Central Food Pantry is having their 2nd Annual Bike-a-thon on June 4, 2011. The purpose of this event is to raise money for food to assist
Allegan County residents.
The event will begin at 9:00 AM at the Allegan Sport’s Complex off 114th Avenue (Hooker Road), Allegan, Michigan. Registration begins at 8:00 AM the day of the
event.
There will be three separate rides to accommodate all ages and skill levels of each participant. The longest ride will be a challenging 29.5 mile course for
more advanced riders, a 10 mile course for the intermediate rider, and a 1 mile closed-loop course (around the sports complex) for the younger riders, or those
that are young at heart, but have not ridden in a few years. Anyone under the age of 18 must have parent’s consent. Children 12 and under must be accompanied
by a parent or adult guardian.
The idea is for each rider to use the pledge sheet on the flip side of this notice to collect pledges and hand them in the day of the ride, June 4th. The
three riders with the most pledges will receive prizes. Everyone who turns in a pledge of $25 or more will receive a free water bottle.
